Colorectal carcinoma (CRC) is one of the most common malignant tumors of the human digestive tract and is the second to the third leading cause of gastrointestinal cancerrelated mortality worldwide. In developed countries such as Australia, North America, New Zealand and parts of Europe, CRC is considered to be a disease of Western lifestyle and has an incidence of 35-50/10 million people/year. In China, the incidence and mortality of colon cancer now rank third and fifth, respectively.

Early cholecystectomy is generally recommended in patients with acute cholecystitis (AC). The Tokyo guidelines published in 2007 provide recommendations for management depending on the severity of AC. Updated 2013 guidelines suggest that early laparoscopic cholecystectomy is mandatory for patients with mild AC, while delayed laparoscopic cholecystectomy can be performed in patients with moderate or severe AC after drainage and / or supportive care.
