Conversion of Ulcerative Colitis to Crohns Disease

Ulcerative colitis (UC) and Crohn’s disease (CD) are two types of inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD). Ulcerative colitis (UC) is a chronic inflammatory disease of unknown etiology, that results in inflammation and ulcers of the colon and rectum. ulcerative colitis is characterized by abdominal pain ,diarrhea mixed with blood,Weight loss, fever, and anemia. Symptoms of ulcerative colitis may come slowly and can range from mild to severe. Symptoms of ulcerative colitis typically occur intermittently with periods of no symptoms between flares.

Case Report

A rare case of Small bowel Carcinoid causing lower GI bleed

In this case, we report a presentation of gastrointestinal bleed as a manifestation of small bowel carcinoid tumor. The significance of this study demonstrates the importance of considering the small-bowel NET as a differential of midgut bleeding because they have high infiltrating potential and may cause significant morbidity contrary to popular belief.
